WellSpan’s “Black Men in White Coats” event seeks to inspire young people

I grew up in rural South Carolina in a city of not more than eight thousand individuals. Neither of my mother and father completed highschool. I’m the youngest of seven kids. A number of of my siblings have gone on to careers in schooling and this has helped floor me in vital ideas like math and science.

I’m pondering particularly of two of my sisters as math and chemistry lecturers. I keep in mind being fascinated by math and science, due to the affect they’d at residence on their careers. We share the same ardour for addressing the priority that many younger black individuals do not see themselves on the trail to success. How can we instill this confidence in them?
